

Our Lady of the Pillar: A Notre Dame de Détroit Campaign
With Pro Ecclesia Sancta, Notre Dame de Detroit will embark upon a joy-
filled mission across six Detroit Cornerstone public charter school campuses. Priests, brothers, sisters and laity will share God's love and nurture hope with students, families, and neighbors. This journey, unique in our country, will help children live the Complete Life and transform educational outcomes. It will also establish Detroit as the North American home for Pro Ecclesia Sancta.
The Campaign seeks to raise $28,000,000 for the following:

Our Lady of the Pillar - Statue
Atop the soaring 145 foot bell tower, Our Lady of the Pillar will cast her loving gaze over the city of Detroit. Nestled amongst the walkways and grotto are the church and three distinct residences.

Historic Church - Repairs and Restoration
Preserving the historical and artistic integrity of the church, restoration and renovation efforts will include: exterior work repairing the front steps leading into the church and restoring damaged stained glass windows; interior renovations will include repairing damaged plaster and wallpaper, painting, and installing new boiler.

St. Martin de Porres House - Priests and Laymen

Transforming a house into a home, this spacious residence will serve as a nurturing haven for our priests, brothers and laymen. This 8,000+ sq. ft. house will accommodate 15 residents.
The renovated floor plan has 15 bedrooms, 12 baths. The main floor includes living room, dinning room, kitchen, sun room, chapel and office. The lower level will feature a gathering space for fellowship and exercise, and the installation of a new boiler. The new build will include two 4-car garages.

Our Lady of the Pillar - Convent
Providing a peaceful and welcoming environment, this ideal setting will nurture both quiet reflection and shared community life.This 2,900 sq. ft. center entrance colonial will accommodate up to 6 sisters.
The renovated floor plan has 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths. The main floor includes living room, dining room, kitchen and chapel. The lower level features a gathering space, office, and guest bedroom with half bath. The new build will include an attached 2-car garage.

St. Josephine Bakhita House - Laywomen
Within this house of formation, hearts are united in fellowship, souls are nurtured through personal spiritual guidance, and lives are centered in prayer. This 8,200+ sq. ft. house will accommodate 14 residents.
The renovated floor plan has 8 bedrooms and 8 baths. Communal areas will include living room, dinning room, kitchen, gathering room, chapel and office. The new build will include an attached 4-car garage.

Courtyard/Landscape/Security
Reflecting the beauty of God’s creation, the new courtyard will feature a grotto, walking paths, and lush gardens designed to inspire peace and tranquility.
A state-of-the-art security system, including lighting and exterior fencing, will provide a safe environment for both residents and guests.

Enclose and Expand Cloisters/Street Closure
The renovated and new build cloisters will provide sheltered access to and from the church.
The street closure will improve walkability, and allow for the thoughtful expansion of community-centered and sacred grounds. The versatility of this space will be an ideal setting for both sacred and secular events.

The Cenacle - Reception and Cafe Venue
This multi-purpose space will offer a wide range of possibilities enhancing Notre Dame de Détroit's role as a hub for connection, celebration, and support within the six Detroit Cornerstone public charter school communities. Hosted events will include retreats, community and social gatherings, and wedding receptions as well as serve as a venue for a café or other local activities.
